Fuck you Lien!

Recently a friend mine! Naaaaaaaaaa!

Recently I was feeling very down and confused but didn't know what the problem was. Any time I got drunk or was just by my self I felt empty. For a long time now I've put on a mask and pretended to be something I wasn't! We shall call him Lien (backwards Neil). Lien to other people is a very upbeat, happy and laid back person without a trouble in the world but unbeknown to others there is trouble brewing.

I don't know when this Lien character came about but it may have been for a year now (slowly building to power). After me and my ex broke up a year ago from a 2 and a half year relationship I found it hard but thanks to my friends I built my self back up and became happy again. The break up became a good thing and I realised how much I'd missed through those nearly 3 years by spending time with friends, laughing, playing music again, meeting a whole lot of people who are amazing and general 'getting back my roots'.

Although this is all amazing; my general confidence in everything has been knocked down by a lot.....making me scared to talk to the opposite sex, stand up for my self and just be a confident self. Basically, I've became all talk and no action!

Now! this is the fun part that made everything change (So far). My friend recently gave me a book -Instant Confidence by Paul McKenna - which I didn't read for about a week but then one night I picked it up and began reading. The book is well done out and is planned out in stages which deal with differences in confidence, Inevitably joining all aspects to make a more confident self. Along with the book there is a CD which you listen to at night to set your mind on the right path.

I read a few chapters that night and listened to the CD...That night I was thinking 'this won't work' but the next morning I felt really energetic and started doing things I wouldn't. The words 'No....can't' and 'Meh' were totally forgotten that day on and I felt great.

I am currently reading the book still and the changes in my mind and body have been amazing...I can talk to girls easier and I'm not scared or nervous around them, I feel very strong in posture but relaxed and work has been amazing ( I am dancing again and singing).

Soo I know I've probably sounded like a huge nerd but hopefully by the end of the book and after as well I'll be Neil but a confident one!
